The charta aims to ensure that the FundsXML.org organisation works efficiently and therefore defines a minimum of structures and procedures. The legal rights and duties of the FundsXML.org organisation, its members and their deputies are also regulated by the charta.

The charta also defines the licence conditions that are necessary for the use of FundsXML.
